Mango Cardamom Lassi

A delicious and healthy drink combining ripe mangoes and warming cardamom, packed with protein from yogurt.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt or regular yogurt
  • 1 cup fresh mango puree (23 fresh mangoes or 1 cup canned)
  • 1/2 cup whole milk or almond milk
  • 2 tablespoons raw honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mango chunks for garnish
  • Cardamom pods for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine Greek yogurt, fresh mango puree, and milk in a blender.
  2. Add honey, ground cardamom, ginger powder, and vanilla extract.
  3. Incorporate a pinch of sea salt.
  4. Blend until smooth and creamy (about 1 minute).
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
  6. Fill tall glasses with ice cubes.
  7. Pour the lassi into glasses, dividing evenly.
  8. Top each glass with fresh mango chunks.
  9. Garnish with a cardamom pod and light dusting of cardamom powder if desired.
  10. Serve immediately with a spoon or thick straw.

Notes

For a lighter option, consider swapping regular yogurt for low-fat or plant-based yogurt.
