  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cans (20 oz each) pineapple chunks, drained
  • 8 oz cream cheese, cut into small pieces

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Melt the butter and pour it into a 9×13-inch glass baking dish.
  3. Whisk together the egg, milk, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until smooth.
  4. Pour the batter directly over the melted butter in the baking dish—no stirring needed!
  5. Evenly arrange the drained pineapple chunks on top of the batter.
  6. Drop the cream cheese pieces evenly across the surface.
  7. Bake for 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbling.
