Polar Frost Christmas Cocoa

A cozy holiday drink that is creamy, sweet, and has a fun minty twist.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole milk (or milk alternative like almond or oat milk)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract (or to taste)
  • Blue food coloring (optional)
  • Mint-flavored marshmallows or regular mini marshmallows
  • Whipped cream
  • Shimmering sugar or edible glitter (optional)
  • Crushed candy canes (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the milk and heavy cream. Heat over medium heat until steaming, but not boiling.
  2. Add white chocolate chips and stir until melted and smooth.
  3. Stir in peppermint extract and blue food coloring if desired.
  4. Pour into mugs, leaving space for toppings.
  5. Top with whipped cream, then add marshmallows, shimmering sugar, and crushed candy canes as desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat gently on the stove over low heat.
