Slow Cooker Pork Ribs Fall Off The Bone

Delicious, tender pork ribs cooked slowly to perfection, offering a healthy, high protein meal.

Ingredients

  • 2.5 to 3 pounds racks of pork ribs (baby back or St. Louis-style)
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon granulated garlic
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup prepared BBQ sauce
  • 1/3 cup water

Instructions

  1. Make the spice rub by mixing onion powder, granulated garlic, smoked paprika, kosher salt, black pepper, and brown sugar in a small bowl.
  2. Prepare the ribs by patting them dry and cutting into sections. Coat with the spice rub.
  3. Add water to the slow cooker.
  4. Arrange the ribs upright in the slow cooker.
  5. Cook on high for 3 to 5 hours or on low for 4 to 8 hours until tender.
  6. OPTION ONE: Preheat the oven broiler, transfer ribs to a baking sheet, brush with half of the BBQ sauce, and broil for 5-8 minutes.
  7. OPTION TWO: Preheat grill, brush ribs with BBQ sauce, and grill for about 5 minutes.

Notes

Choose a sugar-free BBQ sauce for a healthier option. Suitable for meal prep and can be frozen or stored in the fridge for up to 4 days.
