Strawberry Iced Tea

A refreshing drink combining ripe strawberries with classic tea, perfect for warm days.

Ingredients

  • 4 C sliced ripe strawberries
  • 1 C sugar
  • 4 family-sized tea bags
  • 6 C water
  • Strawberries & mint for garnish, if desired

Instructions

  1. Prepare the strawberries: Place the sliced strawberries in a medium bowl, cover with sugar, and stir to coat. Let sit for 15 minutes.
  2. Make the tea: Bring 6 cups of water to a low boil, add the tea bags, remove from heat, and let steep for 5-7 minutes.
  3. Cool the tea: Discard the tea bags and let the tea cool.
  4. Strain the strawberries: Strain off the syrup from the strawberries using a mesh strainer.
  5. Puree the strawberries: Put the remaining strawberries into a food processor, pulse until liquid, then strain using the mesh strainer.
  6. Combine and serve: Mix the tea and strawberry syrup in a pitcher, add cool water or ice, and garnish if desired.

Notes

Serve in clear glasses with ice to show off its beautiful color. Can be stored up to 5 days in the refrigerator.
