Vanilla-Rosemary Lemonade

A refreshing drink that combines the tangy flavor of lemons with the sweet aroma of vanilla and earthy notes of rosemary. Perfect for summer hydration.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 vanilla bean (split)
  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice
  • Sparkling water (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine ingredients in a saucepan: In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, split vanilla bean, rosemary, and water.
  2. Bring to a boil: Place over medium heat and bring the mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally.
  3. Steep the ingredients: Remove from heat and let steep for about 10 minutes.
  4. Mix with lemon juice: In a large pitcher, pour in the lemon juice and strain the syrup mixture through a fine mesh sieve.
  5. Refrigerate: Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours until chilled.
  6. Serve over ice: Stir the lemonade and pour over ice, adding sparkling water if desired.

Notes
